WIP: Vindictus Succubus
I occasionally try to draw here and there, and now I think tumblr is becoming more of my art dump than anything. Here’s another doodle on Paint. I dunno where my tablet is so everything is done with my mouse. (Got a new Logitech wired one for $9 since my old one kept double clicking. Not a fan of wireless. I’m not paying for batteries.) I’m diggin’ these brushes! I’ve been using this marker lookin’ tool and drawing at high resolution. I shrunk it down for tumblr. I have a few more but they’re fugly. Here you go, see? I’m not dead yet.
This is fanart for the game Vindictus. It was my Summer of 2011 MMO, and I’m currently level 56(cap is at 70) on the east server as Nagsy. This is the succubus from the one mission, I think she’s just stunning so I had to draw her. It’s a WIP, I need to add legs and a big ole scythe. Also, sorry my signature is a little obnoxious. Didn’t realize it until now and I’m way too lazy to change it. Hope everyone’s summer is going great.
Doodles
I rarely have any time to draw anything serious anymore so I’ll usually doodle in physics and math, which usually turns into something with lots of detail. I hope I can jump back into drawing during the summer. I realized after I opened up photoshop that I had no idea how to use it anymore! I even got way too lazy to even scan this, I just took a picture with my webcam.
Anywho! Some back story to the doodles. This is a sketch of a girl who’s outfit is based off of the second picture but like a crappier version. All random made up characters, I really just wanted to experiment with hair and some character design. I also wanted to push away from my usual style to try something new. I don’t wanna draw ANIMUU anymore. :I
The second picture was done RIGHT on my E&M notes, and I didn’t expect it to come out that way. I was just drawing a flower to begin with!
Last picture is a warrior guy with a funny face. I don’t like it that much, I just wanted to see if I could combine armor and cloth without looking extremely bad. I sorta failed. I think my spur of inspiration probably came from Vindictus. No lie, their character designs are beast. I wanna be able to do that someday.

So instead of sleeping early so I can pick up my friend from Walmart tomorrow, I decided to pretty much just doodle and mess with Paint with my mouse. Yes, my mouse. I forgot my tablet at home so I gotta make do with what I have. This was a product of not drawing for awhile, making a cool looking snow man, and looking a ton of drawr stuff. I still wanna be awesome at digital painting! So I did this in monochrome, baby steps. Yep, Yep. I really got lazy to finish the rest of his head gear. :( It’s Raiden btw, if you didn’t get that by now. I know, it looks nothing like him.
What I did for more than 8 hours instead of sleeping. It’s a greenhouse to the extremeee! I really wanted to do something with a mega tree trunk but growing the trees accordingly, didn’t work out so well. Plan B? Just throw wood on top of each other. I had to hijack sand from under the sand in my lot to make all that glass. I’ve never seen so much glass. ;o; How am I feeling? Like a loser with a broken neck. Sleep Time.
Not projecting my situation or anything, I just really like the guy’s face. I mean the message. It’s true.

So now I’m back at PSU, I had some time so I scanned these babies and now I’m posting them here. They’re not all pixelated and mirrored anymore! Hooray! I wish my penciling was more pro, these are really sloppy. I think when I get some time to doodle, I’ll work with more line weighted stuff. I think I should take down the old post but NAHH. (P.S. The nub hands are so fantastic, they look like nubs.)
